Animal Rescue On Bartley Road

On Monday morning, the Long Valley Fire Company was requested to 679 Bartley Road for an animal rescue involving a horse stuck in a gully. Firefighters arrived on scene and utilized a tarp, a length of hose, and ropes to safely get the horse out of the gully. Shortly after, the horse was brought to safety and uninjured.

LVFC Opens Its Doors To The Preschoolers

On Thursday and Friday (March 12/ 13), the Long Valley Fire Company opened its doors to local preschoolers for fire education and safety. They were taught the proper fire safety for around their home and overall safety. The preschoolers also paid very close attention to the firefighters, the equipment, fire trucks, and had fun while doing it. Long Valley Assists Fairmount With Car Fire

A little after 3pm on March 14, the Fairmount Fire Company was dispatched to 31 Sierra Drive for the report of a car fire. The first officer on scene advised all responding units and the Morris County Communications Center that the vehicle was fully involved and close to the home. Fairmount requested one engine from Long Valley to assist with extinguishing the fire. No injuries occurred and crews were able to contain the fire to only the vehicle.
